Collaborations with Community Agencies

LCCU has developed critical community partnerships to maintain its delivery mechanism. LCCU has built up a tremendous amount of trust within the Latino community through its reputation as a community-based, member-controlled institution and through its partnerships with community based organizations.

Latino Credit Union, together with the Latino Community Development Center, created a scholarship fund that awarded education scholarships in 2007. This prograsm is no longer active, but you can find out more at Misael Martínez Memorial Scholarship.

Who do we serve?

Who do we serve?

Latino Community Credit Union’s members are primarily low-income and/or Latino individuals in North Carolina. LCCU’s members are 95% low-income, 95% Hispanic and 75% unbanked. LCCU has members from all 18 Spanish-speaking nations in Latin America, most notably Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Colombia.
