Invest in your Community: Make a deposit with LCCU

When you invest with Latino Community Credit Union, your federally insured deposit will combine financial return with social return. Deposits earn market rates (see www.latinoccu.org for current rates) while improving lives for hard-working, low-wealth families in North Carolina and beyond.

LCCU's award winning programs and performance have made it one of the fastest growing credit unions in the country. Since 2000, LCCU has provided $58 million in affordable financing to its nearly 50,000 members for mortgages to first-time homeowners, as well as consumer loans, including loans to help create a credit history.

The vast majority of LCCU members are low-income and have not used a financial institution previously -- LCCU's financial education program has helped over 9,000 people understand how to choose financial products and services, while developing strategies to save for their families' future.

Deposits that you, your friends and family, or organizations with which you are involved, make, provide funds for loans to the community, creating more opportunities for deserving working-poor families.

LCCU's loans help transform lives like that of one member, who first came to the credit union to refinance an abusive car loan. He then graduated along with his two children from the financial education program, and became a peer educator in his community, which resulted in 11 more graduates of the series of six workshops. He recently financed his first home through the credit union, one of the best ways to build family wealth and help stabilize communites.

You can benefit from a deposit in LCCU at the same time that you help more low-income families achieve their dreams!

All deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U.S. government agency.
